Building Surveying

 

We offer full range of Building Surveying services. Whether it's a requirement of your mortgage lender or it's just for peace of mind, we can provide a bespoke service tailored to your needs.

 

A Full Building Survey report will cover an appraisal of the building structure and fabric above ground, and report as follows:

  • Roof structure, Condition and Materials from both internal and external (access permitting), chimneys, rainwater goods etc.
  • External walls; construction, materials, pointing, heads and cills, lintels, windows and doors, damp proof course, internal condensation if applicable.
  • Structure and condition of the internal walls, floor and ceilings.
  • Internal finishes – condition and age where applicable.
  • Inspection of the visible pipework to and from sanitary appliances, hot and cold water storage facilities, heating type and pipework where accessible.
  • General comment on gas, plumbing and electric, minor inspection - should full Mechanical & Electrical test be required this can be arranged.
  • Information will be provided from the inspection outlining any potential future problems and also how the structure diverges from current building regulations.
  • Comment will be made of the external areas to the property and the drainage, but no testing of drains will be carried out.
